ArtsDay LA 2008 wrapped up last weekend and Writers' Program panels enjoyed an almost packed house for the entire event! Stay tuned for updated information on the next ArtsDay LA event.
ArtsDay LA, a free day-long educational experience, offers a unique opportunity for aspiring creative writers and screenwriters to immerse themselves in these fields—to explore the creative processes, the key craft issues, the challenges and rewards, the practical and business aspects, and even the lifestyles they might expect if they choose a writing career. Four one-hour panels hosted by exceptional Writers' Program instructors are held throughout the day and systematically take attendees through a process that builds their knowledge in the specific core subject matter of their choice. In addition to screenwriting and creative writing, similar panels are held for students interested in design communication arts, entertainment media (including acting, cinematography, directing, and music), interior design, and landscape architecture. Guests can also meet and chat with representatives from over 15 community partner organizations!
